It was 61 degrees Fahrenheit this afternoon, and the final leavings of the nasty snow from January finally vanished from our backyard. We molted our winter jackets and unfolded our wings in the relatively warm tropical air.
Ivy sat in the sand pile for hours scooping sand into and out of a bucket, and kept looking up with a smirk like she just couldn't believe her good luck that she was getting away with something as dastardly as playing with dirt.

Calvin hopped around swinging sticks, flinging mud, and scattering rock food all about with gleeful abandon. And in the midst of one of his tree climbings, I happened to snap one of the money shots that will be hanging on my wall shortly.
Of course I just as joyfully sat in the dirt and the sun and played with my toys (my camera and my lens from Christmas).
The older kids put themselves to bed tonight. Welcome warm weather, come back anytime!

oh isn't it joyful to play outside in the sun?!! We went down to the new park near the Arl.Rec. Center and it was great fun.
That photo of Calvin is definitely worthy of wall-hanging. So cute!
so sorry Cami & Danielle --- I am borrowing Danielle's ASUS and didn't realize that she was signed into google.
I claim the comment --- Jenifer Sweeney ;)
Love the photos. Isn't warm weather the best!
Love that picture of Calvin! It a wall photo for sure. Nice one Cami.
Remember how we were not going to rub good weather into the faces of those living in Cache Valley? Apparently not. Nevertheless we will forgive you and soon have the money picture of Calvin hanging on our wall.
